Board rules
The student board is where students in Australia help each other. There aren't many rules, and we enforce every one of them.
Be genuine and own what you post
Share your own experience and real items or rooms. Advertising, ghostwriting, contract cheating, agent lead-farming and fake reviews are removed, and the account loses posting rights.
What Verified by 澳陆 means
The mark goes to students we have checked by hand: they applied through 澳陆 and hold a CoE. Six months after their expected finish it reads 澳陆 alumni. It confirms who someone is. It is not a guarantee for any deal.
Protect yourself when buying or renting
Don't pay before you have seen the room or the item. Rental bonds go to the state bond authority, never straight to a person. Meet in person where you can, and be wary of prices that look too good.
Keep your privacy, and other people's
Leave passport numbers, student IDs, visa details and street numbers out of posts. Contact details only show to logged-in students. Don't post other people's photos or chats without their consent.
Review and reports
Posts from unverified members are reviewed before they go live, usually within one business day. If a post or comment looks wrong, press Report. Once three students report it, it is hidden until we have checked.
Not allowed
Illegal items, prescription medicines, resale of alcohol or tobacco, visa, grade or degree fraud, ghostwriting or exam impersonation, abuse and discrimination, and anything else against Australian law.
Sale and rental posts expire
For-sale posts come down after 30 days, rooms for rent after 21 days and room wanted after 30 days, so the board stays current. If it's still available, press Renew on your post.
